I sometimes have to buy a 13 bc I'm really a 12.5, went with the 12 in these and the foot part fit perfectly. My legs are skinnier (wear 6-8 jeans) and I had to take these to a boot repair shop to have the shaft taken in (they were initially way too loose). After the take in they are perfect but ust know that if you have skinnier legs they will be loose.
