These are extremely comfortable. They feel stretchy, warm, and - thick! That's the difference between these and some other boots I have tried on or bought. Even though they are faux suede, they have a sort of thicker, real suede feel. They look just like the picture to me, and they do come up pretty high on my legs, which is what I had hoped for, so I can wear shorts, rompers or shorter skirts even when it's cooler out, because most of my legs are covered with these on, well past my knees (I am 5'2" though, so keep that in mind). I first got the grey and I loved them so much that I got the black. I feel like they were worth the price and they seem well made, like they should last a few seasons if I'm careful with them. I also love that I feel a bit glamorous with these on, even with them having a short heel.
