I got these for an upcoming hiking trip to Colorado. I needed something that was heavier duty than what I use to hike around here. These are exactly what I wanted. They fit great and hug my feet. There's plenty of room in the toes even while wearing hiking socks. They support my ankles really well and don't rub at all. That's a huge plus, because there's nothing worse than getting an hour or two into a hike and having raw spots on your ankles. These are some of the most comfortable hiking boots I've ever had. I love that they arrive already broken in, so you can wear them straight out of the box with no worries. That's huge, because breaking in hiking boots properly can take time and it's a major pain. They're made with high quality materials that are made to take a beating. The stitching is heavy duty and they're very well manufactured with no defects. The tread has nice deep groves and the grippers work very well. The best part about these boots is that they're waterproof. That's essential in any good hiking boot. You never know what you're going to encounter out on the trail and it really sucks when your feet get wet and you still have more hiking to do. I tried these out to make sure they truly are waterproof before we go on the trip. We went hiking up to a waterfall and I walked through part of it. I let it get halfway up the laces and my feet stayed warm and dry. I can't wait to give these a beating in Colorado. I'm impressed with the quality, especially since these are so affordable. Next time I need boots, this is definitely where I'll be coming.
