I must have ginormous calves because even the wide calf don't fit. I measured my calves and they are 16 1/2 inches at the widest, but even the wide calf option don't fit usually even it it states up to 17 1/2. These boots actually fit! They seemed snug as I zipped them up, but it still fits fine. I measured the circumference of the top of the boot with them on and it's 18 inches. So, I'm not sure how they will fit if you're calves are larger than 18 inches. I ordered the Extra Wide Calf option by the way. And I ordered them in black and brown. They seem like good quality but I'm not sure of the comfort level of being in them at work all day, so I will do as some suggested and put an inexpensive foam insert in them.
