I wanted some boots for hiking/hillwalking that were waterproof, but lightweight.I tried these boots today on a tough, hilly 10km walk today. Covered woodland, wet grass fields and stoney paths/mud. They handled it all.The tread on the soles is really deep and gave me excellent grip even through thick wet mud and wet stone.I was wearing waterproof trousers along with these boots and was walking through some very long, very wet grass. My lower legs and boots were completely soaked, yet my feet on the inside were completely dry. Very please about that!I can't comment on how long these will last, but they do feel well made, they are indeed waterproof, and they are very comfortable and light on the feet.I am usually a size 9 in shoes and boots, I found ordering this size was correct and I did not need to size differently.At this price point, they are an excellent buy.
