Product Description

The Standard of the West Since 1879 The story of Justin Boots began in 1879, when H.J. Justin moved to Spanish Fort, Texas to become a boot repairman. He was a quick study, with an eye and talent for boot making. H.J. soon began his own boot company, Justin Boots, which he operated out of his home to serve cowboys passing though town. H.J. saw the potential for his business, so when a railroad was built ten years later in Nocona, Texas, he moved his family there to capitalize on a bigger market. In 1908, Justin Boots became a true family company when his sons, Earl and Avis, came to work for their father. Their combined efforts pushed the company forward, and just two years later, Justin Boots had doubled its production and was being sold in 26 states as well as Mexico, Canada, and Cuba. Seven years after their fathers death in 1918, his sons moved the company headquarters to Fort Worth where it still operates today. Every pair of Justin Boots is a salute to the spirit of independence, hard work and authenticity of the cowboys who have worn them since 1879. After more than 130 years of Western boot making, Justin Boots is still true to its roots. When you purchase a pair of Justin Boots you will own the most authentic and stylish Western footwear available. And with Justins patented J-Flex Comfort System you will be wearing the most comfortable boots ever made. This is why Justin Boots has been crowned the .Standard Of The West Since 1879..

I ordered a different pair of steel toed boots before these and they were about 2 inches too big and that's when I realized that every company makes boots way bigger than your size. I wear a shoe size of 11.5, but I ordered these boots in a 10.5. I'm glad I did because even after ordering a size smaller there is still room between my toe and the front of the boot, as there should be, but it shouldn't be more than an inch, which it isn't.These boots look really good. I love the square toe look of cowboy boots but I wanted laced boots and needed them to be steel toed. These were the only ones I could find that fit all of my requirements and were a fair price. The only complaint I have is that I can feel the edge of the steel toe, but I think I can solve that with some thicker socks. Other than that, these boots look and feel great.Nice style, surprisingly unique and hard to find. Minor things could be improved though. I don't like the open loops at the top before the last holes, should be simply lace holes only all the way up. The sole is a bit too thick and makes it look more work style than elegant but still looks great.I have a flat wide foot and the standard width because of the toe box the fit was very comfortable. These were my 2nd pair of these work boots. I am on my feet everyday in Texas and they usually last me about 10-12 monthsThese boots combine the foot space of slip ons with the ankle support and reliability of lace ups. They look great and aren’t too heavy for steel toesThe boots arrived today, and as soon as I opened the box, they looked HUGE! Tried them on, and they felt huge. My toes ended about 2 inches from the end of the toe box. I normally wear an 11 to 12, with about 1/2 my shoes being 11.5, in wide size. I find the "better" brand names, like Nike, Adidas and North Face all fit small, with even size 12 not fitting some times, and also generally too narrow. So I am returning the size 11 I bought, and replacing them with a size 10. Hopefully that will fit better. I'll follow up once they arrive. Otherwise, the width feels great and with the square toe box, lots of room for the toes. The leather looks nice, but is darker than the stock photos on the listing. Plus, once they get oiled, they will get even darker. They also come with little leather flaps, to attach to the bottom lace, if you like the frilly touch. So for comparison, I lined up a bunch of my current shoes and boots and measured the overall lengths. I know, not the best judge of size, but thought it might help others figure out the size of these things. I added the US size, and the euro size, if available. From left to right, here is the results.Shoe Brand US/Euro Size Measured Length General FitRockport Dress 11W/45 12.75" Slightly longDockers Dress 11W 12.5" Slightly longShift Kicker Motorcycle Boot 11W/45 12.0" Short about 1/4"Bates Ultralites Tactical Boot 11.5W / 44.5 12.75" Very goodJustin's Boots 11EE 13.25" Way too longAlpinestar SMX-5 Motorcyle 12/47 12.5" Slightly long5.11 Tactical Shoe 11.5W/45.5 12.25" Very goodTimberland Sandals 11W / 45 12.5" Slightly longMizuno Running (no pic) 11.5EE / 45 12.0" Very goodNorth Face Hikers (no pic) 12/46 12.5" Too short & NarrowI bought these to wear in the workshop and in the garden. After a couple of months they feel sturdy but comfortable. They have a nice wide toe box, and the steel toe which was a requirement. They're not an attractive design, and they're a darker color than I expected, but it's just me and the dog, and the dog has no fashion sense. The boots deliver good function for a good price.Me encantó el productoThis is the 3rd set of these work boots that I’ve purchased. I got the 9.5 wide (EE) and I put some work insoles inside them so it makes it a little snug around the top of my feet. I just gotta break them in. The soles hold up for about a year (working 7/12’s) and they’re not waterproof. But I’m from Texas and love the square toe, I have some boots like this without steel toe for personal use. I’d buy again and again and the price is very good! Overall the boot is very nice. And the pics taken are the boots already worn.
