I like the timberlands I’m excited about wearing them when it gets cold. These were sent as a gift. I have no further information.I've wanted a pair of timberlands for YEARS. Finally bit the bullet and bought a pair and I couldn't be happier with them. These have no arch. They are heavy duty and have no give in the leather. Have worn them twice, with long socks, and they have rubbed the achillies tendon raw both times that I don't want to wear them again. Got a wide width and they do not fit like a wide width. I tried on regular width in a store and it feels no different. Very expensive and probably will never wear them again.Beautiful boots, very waterproof. The soles are a little flat, so I got different insoles which was perfect. They look very nice even after functional use.I am in LOVE with these boots. For years I've never even considered purchasing these because I thought they'd be clunky and would make my feet look enormous. Never have I been so wrong about something. After destroying my Uggs in the rain and snow and getting tired of wearing my unfashionable Merrell hiking shoes (I own a short sneaker like pair and a tall more substantial tall boot), I knew I needed to find something else and quick. I live in Boston and with the New England winter coming up, I finally gave in and took a chance ordering these boots. I am so, so, so glad I did.Fit:Reading all the reviews saying to size down a half or whole size, I decided to go with a 7.5 instead of my normal 8. They fit great and there's plenty of room for lightweight and medium weight socks. It's still possible to wear an extra thick sock even if it is a bit of a snug fit. I rarely wear super thick socks though so I don't think it will be a problem. The 8 would have been too roomy wearing regular or medium weight socks. During warmer times of the year when I want to wear these, I'd like them to fit well wearing thin socks which would be a problem with my regular size 8. Another plus of having to size down is my feet actually look smaller than they do in any other kind of shoe in my regular size even though they're that big work boot style which usually makes your feet look larger. Crazy! Love it.Style:These boots are surprisingly attractive and fashionable. I've tried wearing them with the laces done up all the way as well as only halfway with the tongue sticking out a little. I think both ways are great, but I really love the partly unlaced look and there's no issue with them slipping off because of the high ankle. They look good with skinny jeans tucked in, but I almost always wear socks over my skinny jeans and I like that look even better with these boots. I scrunch them down if they're knee high socks and it's really cute. Look great with both fashion and active wear leggings.I can't believe I've survived without these boots for so long. I wish I would've bought them years ago! Don't make my mistake. These are a must-have for everyone.*Note: I tried the Teddy Fleece Fold Down boots along with these because I am new to the Timberland brand and wasn't sure what I really wanted. The Teddy style was kind of weird to me. They are a lighter color although both are called "wheat." I liked the look of the original Timbs better with the black in the back. I think they need a break of color and the Teddy didn't have that. They also made my feet look huge which I was trying to avoid (and did with the original boot). So if you are trying to decide between those two styles like I was, I would recommend the original 6". That's my personal preference, but I think you really can't go wrong with them because they're a style that's been around for ages.I use these timberland women,s boots for work in a factory. The boot is good as expected from Timberland. Just very hard material and needs some wear to them to make softerI bought a pair for my wife and if they're even half as good as the pair I have, they are worth it.I got my pair of Timberland's when I was 18 out of the Freeman's catalogue! I don't wear them every day, but certainly every winter I have worn them regularly. I have travelled the world in them, scaled mountains in them, been hiking, decorated the house in them, whatever. I have used them as a proper workhorse boot and have actually never owned another pair of boots in all that time! These have always stood up to the test of time. Only now is the sole slightly corroding. With a nubuck brush, they still come up pretty good, though the leather has obviously faded. The quality appears the same here, with thick leather and lots of stitching. They fit very well, just as expected and are very water-repellent. They are not waterproof, but it takes a lot to get your socks wet wearing these.I'm sure many of you are just buying these for fashion, as I was back in the day (I was rocking that Wu-Tang style!) but I just had to let you know that these are actually serious boots and will last you for ages. They are expensive, but you get what you pay for and over the course of twenty years, the £110 I spent on my pair doesn't seem so bad! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!ordered a uk 6 was wore them a few times but they felt very loose couldn’t get to grips with wearing them. Pulled them out to wear them this winter then realised they are a uk 6.5 the seller sent me a box with a uk 6 on it but the bits have 6.5 which is in the shape of a 8.5 inside. Also before I gave up wearing them in January 2019 I noticed there is a metal clanking noise every time I walk in them which gets on my nerves. I was thinking why are they making metal clanking noises. after further inspection I have found there are metal bars underneath the inner soles that are moving about. I’m very upset with this products quality and the fact I was sent the wrong size to what I ordered and to what is on the box. I’d really like my money back but I’m guessing as it almost a year since I purchased them the seller won’t even consider it.These are most definitely NOT waterproof. On a rainy day or on a walk in the woods on any day... my socks are soaked. I am very disappointed, considering how much they cost. They look alright, I give them that... but so do any other boots! I wanted sturdy, comfy boots and waterproof was my number one priority. They are sturdy , and it did not take too long to break them in. They bite on my heels slightly on longer walks though, still. They do not keep your feet warm and if you want to put on a thicker pair of socks to keep warmer - the shoes are too tight (you would need more than one size up then). The sole is slippery on a frosty ground. I would not buy again and not recommend anyone who cares about features of boots other than the look. It is my second pair. The first one I sent back and Amazon accepted, they were not waterproof either. I thought, maybe I was unlucky and got a faulty pair... I gave them another go and regret it! I am hundred percent sure now - these are not made to be waterproof. What a shame.I bought these boots 3 years ago and have worn them once. These are the most uncomfortable item of footwear I've bought in years. They're far too tight, the only way I can get my foot in them is by removing the insoles which makes them very uncomfortable. I put them into timpsons, a cobblers, and left them there for 2 weeks getting stretched, and that didn't help much. I can barely get them on with thin socks which means, I live in Scotland, they're only useful in the spring or autumn. If you're a woman and buying these go up at least a half size and wear them for a few days about the house before making the decision to keep them. Wish I'd done that because I would've gotten a bigger size but I'm stuck with a pair of boots that don't fit properly. They're either from the kids range or fakes. The reviews and the answers tell people to go smaller DON'T! I love them but I'm really reluctant to wear them out anywhere because of how painful they get. I've worn them in the house but my toes go numb after a while. I might order the 6.5 and 7 on try before you buy and see if they fit better. Overall though I wouldn't recommend themI wanted those boots so badly and was really disappointed in them. They looked gorgeous but I tried my usual size 5.5 and they were too small with my toes smashed against the front of the toebox. I then ordered size 6 just to compare and they were still too small; when I put both pairs together to compare them visually, there was actually no difference in size - 5.5 had the same length as size 6. I then ordered additional pair of 5.5 just to be sure and they seemed perfect at first but then as I walked in them around the house I noticed they were now too wide on my heel to hold it properly and my foot slided into the toebox resulting in big discomfort. I made sure the laces were tied tightly but it made no difference. The inconsistency of sizing is just appalling at that price and for such a highly regarded brand.
